College and Art

Dear all potential art students,

   Words of advice from a freshman artist at the University of Michigan; college and creativity just don't mix.  Perhaps it's the college experience; the cookie cutter living and the access to endless amounts of prefab foods.  Maybe I've just run out of ideas.  Either way, I'm in need of some obstacles to defibrillate my creativity. 
  On Friday I tried solving my predicament with a 32 hour fast.  It isn't so far fetched to think that dining hall food might clog the brain, it surely does that to arteries.  Yesterday I went so far as to attempt 24 hours of silence, a drastic measure for a talker like me.  I think its safe to say that while still far from being in the clear, my creativity may now have a pulse.
